What is Grid?

Our X-ray Grids incorporated the purest aluminum foil for the inter-spacer and high quality lead foil the X-ray absorber. The offers lower exposure multiplier and results in better absorption of scatter radiation. Its effect produces a general radiographic fog on the film which reduces the contrast. Our X-ray Grids are manufactured by highly trained technical experts using high precision machinery under the strictest quality control.

Our Grids has recently developed a brand new grid which is made of lightweight damage-resistant Polyester fiber inter-spacer for mammography x-ray systems and will provide dramatically improved contrast and more consistent image quality.

Aluminum Interspaced X-ray Grids

X-ray Grids incorporated the purest aluminium foil for the inter-spacer and high quality lead foil the X-ray absorber.  The offers lower exposure multiplier and results in better absorption of scatter radiation.   Its effect produces a general radiographic fog on the film which reduces the contrast. Our X-ray Grids are manufactured by highly trained technical experts using high precision machinery under the strictest quality control.

Grids come in many different combinations of ratio and lines per inch. The higher ratio of the grid(dependent on the height of the lead strips and the thickness of the inter-spacer) the better clean-up.  Grid ratios of 8 : 1, 10 : 1, 12 : 1 are the most common and  a range of lines from 85 to 130 lines per inch (We have a product of 150, 180 line/inch) the most frequently supplied. Parallel and focused Grids (focused to various distances) are all in our product portfolio.  When ordering x-ray grids, please specify size, lines/inch, ratio, focal Distance.

Mammography X-ray Grids - Polyester interspaced

Scattered radiation reduces subject contrast in mammography. This results in impaired detection of calcifications and outlines of tumor masses.  To overcome this problem both moving and stationary grids have been developed for mammography. General purpose, moving grids cannot be utilized for mammography because of high absorption of X-ray by the inter-spaced material. Moving grids designed for mammography are thinner than convention grids and have polyester inter-spacer material. Many of the new mammography X-ray machines contain these grids mounted in a reciprocating Bucky mechanism, to make the grid lines invisible. Our Grid has developed a mammography grid with dower dose.  General specifications of mammo grids are as below;

How to choose a right grid for your x-ray systems?

Our Grids offers a full line of aluminum interspaced x-ray grids of the highest and the most precise quality to the radiologist.

Our grids contain the purest lead available to ensure superior efficiency in removing scattered radiation. Superior quality images are achieved through the use of aluminum inter-spacers and lead strips which are precisely milled to uniformity. Grid strips are sealed between a smooth aluminum cover and finished in enamel providing complete resistance to heat and moisture guaranteeing years of trouble free service.
